This week, we celebrate the teamwork shown during Family Conferences and the excitement building for our upcoming Book Fair. Thank you for partnering with us to support your child’s growth both at home and at school. It truly makes a difference.

As we head into Veterans Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Their courage and commitment remind us of the importance of service, gratitude, and community.

🐉 Schoolwide Spirit! From Kindergarten through 8th grade, every classroom showed teamwork, learning, and leadership. Whether it was Fundations fluency, EL discussions, or hands-on science, our students were all in!

🏆 LiveSchool Leaders! Shout-out to our top classes, Ms. Leonard, Mr. Donnald, Ms. Phillips, and Ms. Becraft for earning points by being Respectful, Participating, and Effort Every Day! We love seeing students set goals and celebrate their success.

💬 Family Conferences Underway! Thank you to our teachers and families for taking the time to connect during Family Conferences. These meaningful conversations strengthen our home-school partnership and help every Dragon grow academically and socially.

💡 AVID in Action! WICOR strategies were on full display in classrooms this week as students collaborated, organized their thoughts, and communicated with confidence.

💛 Staff Appreciation! A heartfelt thank you to our amazing staff for all the love, gifts, cards, and sweet treats during Principal Appreciation Month. Mr. Tripplett and I are grateful beyond words. Bonlee truly has the best team around!

 

 

🇺🇸 Veterans Day – No school Tuesday, November 11, for Veterans Day. Classes resume Wednesday, November 12.

🥕 Free Food Distribution
Families in need are invited to a no-cost food distribution on Tuesday, November 11, from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM at Bennett Baptist Church. This community event is open to anyone experiencing food insecurity, no registration required.

🔬 NC Check-In #1 – Science (Grades 5 & 8)
5th and 8th graders take NC Check-In #1 Science on Thursday, November 13. Ensure rest, breakfast, and on-time arrival.

💻 Family Workshop: Partnering Through Technology
Join us Thursday, Nov. 13, from 6–7:30 PM in the Bonlee Multipurpose Room for a Title I–sponsored workshop on using the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and promoting positive social media use. Light refreshments start at 5:45 PM.

🥫 Beta Club Food Drive
The Bonlee Beta Club is sponsoring a Food Drive from Nov. 10–25. All donations will support our school’s Food Pantry to help Bonlee families in need.

Scholastic Book Fair Reminder
The Bonlee Library Book Fair runs November 17–21! It will be open every day during school hours and will also stay open until 5pm on Monday, 11/17.

Please note that this year’s fair is cashless. Families can:

Set up an eWallet for their student through the Book Fair homepage, or

Pay in person using a credit/debit card or mobile payment.

The Scholastic payment system accepts Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Apple Pay, and Tap & Pay–enabled cards.

Thrift Store Donations are being accepted every school days in the cart at the front of the school. Need ideas for Thrift Store donations? This week look though your kitchen and donate any items or small appliances that your not using. Let’s keep the cart full and encourage family and friends to shop Chatham PTA Thrift Shop - Siler City Store or the Pittsboro and Cole Park locations!
