Bonlee Families,

Due to the winter weather, Bonlee will be closed tomorrow for students and staff. There will be no remote learning on this day.

The safety and well-being of our students, families, and staff remain our top priority. We appreciate your understanding and support.

Please continue to monitor updates on the CCS Inclement Weather website. We hope everyone stays safe and warm during the storm.

✏️ Bonlee Writers Shine!
We are proud to share that Norah Cox, Claire Palmer, Audrey Patti, Linley Bryant, Waylon Bryant, Alex Farthing, and Collin Palmer will represent Bonlee in the NCASA Quill Writing Competition on February 10. These students were selected for their strong writing skills and dedication. Good luck to our Bonlee writers!

📚 Literacy in Action
We are celebrating growth in literacy! Our mClass MOY data shows an increase in the number of students performing at or above the benchmark. Congratulations and thank you to Ms. Clegg, Ms. Davis, Ms. Leonard, Ms. Banks, Ms. Ward, Ms. Edwards, Ms. Palmer, Ms. Burke, Ms. Maness, Ms. Gilbert, Ms. Petty, Ms. Campbell, and Ms. Collins for their strong instructional work and commitment to student growth.

🤝 Community Support Makes a Difference
Bonlee has been approved to participate in CORA Packs, beginning at the end of February. This partnership supports students with weekend food assistance. A special thank you to Ms. Sheila Tally for helping make this opportunity possible for our school community!

Encourage your child to read for at least 20 minutes each day. Talk about the story, ask questions, and have your child explain their thinking to build comprehension.

Cheer on our Bonlee representatives, Makayla Maness and Samuel "SJ" Moody, as they compete at the district level.

📊 NC Check-Ins (Weather Permitting)
NC Check-Ins are assessments given throughout the year to measure student progress toward grade-level standards and help teachers plan instruction.

Sweetheart Family Dance is this Friday 2/6!

K-5th grade from 5:30-7:15 - free with drinks and snacks available for donation

Middle School(6-8th grade) is $5 admission and drinks and snacks available for purchase as a fundraiser for Bonlee Beta.

Roses are again available for sale ($3). Pre orders available online.
