πŸ’«A Note from the Principal

Bonlee Families,

Bonlee continues to be a place where students learn, grow, and shine! This week brought wonderful opportunities for our students and staff, from celebrating literacy during Read Across America Week to recognizing student achievements and practicing important safety procedures. Thank you to our families and community partners for the continued support you show our school. Together, we are helping our Dragons Rise Above and Reach Higher! πŸ”₯

πŸ€ YMCA Programs & Summer Camp
Registration for 2026–2027 YMCA programs opened March 1 for members and will open March 15 for non-members. Financial assistance applications will also open on March 15. Information about YMCA summer camps will be shared soon through newsletters and flyers. These programs offer great enrichment opportunities for our students.

If you have questions or need assistance, please contact our school social worker, Ms. Allen, at jallen@chatham.k12.nc.us.

🏑 Learning at Home Tip
Set aside 10–15 minutes each evening for reading. Ask your child to tell you about the story, their favorite character, or something new they learned. These small daily routines help build strong readers! πŸ“–

🦷 Mobile Dental Program Visiting Bonlee

Chatham County Schools and Piedmont Health Services are partnering to provide a School Based Oral Health Program. A mobile dental unit will be scheduled to offer dental services onsite during school hours. This program allows for students to receive dental care while at school which improves student attendance by reducing the time a student is out of class to go to a dental office for care. Private insurance and Medicaid are accepted, and sliding scale options are available for students without insurance. More information can be found on the attached flyers in English and Spanish.

Available Services Include:

Exams

Cleanings

Fillings

DentalX-rays

Sealants

Fluoride Treatment

Please contact our school social worker, Jamie Allen (jallen@chatham.k12.nc.us or Sheila Tally (sstally@chatham.k12.nc.us), for more information and next steps for signing your student(s) up for care!
