Here are a few important updates as we begin the school year:
🖥️ New Student Information System:
Our district has transitioned from PowerSchool to Infinite Campus. Families will receive information soon on how to access the Parent Portal to view student schedules, attendance, grades, and more. Stay tuned!
💻 Laptop Repair Fees Changes:
This year, Chromebook repair fees have changed. Please refer to the district’s Device Responsibility and Repair Information here, and remind students to handle devices with care.
New State Cell Phone Law: In accordance with NC SL 2025-38, cell phones will be silenced and placed, along with earbuds, in student backpacks during the school day.
📄 Code of Civility Acknowledgement:
Families received a Code of Civility form at Open House. Please sign and return the acknowledgement form with your child this week. This helps us work together to maintain a respectful, safe school community.
🎒 First Day of School:
We begin Tuesday, August 26th!
Drop off: 7:30 AM
School begins: 7:55 AM
Dismissal: 2:55 PM
Please make sure your child arrives on time, ready to learn.
📚 First Week Focus: The first week of school is all about building routines, making connections, and ensuring every student feels safe and welcome. Encourage your child to get plenty of rest and share something positive about their day each evening.
