A Note from the Principal

Our elementary students are diving into the EL curriculum, and our middle grades students are growing through Into Lit—both building strong literacy skills. Staff are also trying AVID cheers to celebrate student effort and keep learning fun!

🎉 Celebrations

✨ Power of One Award
We celebrated our custodian, Ms. Bebe, with the Power of One Award! Her hard work and care make a huge difference for our students and staff every day.
📚 Strong Start to Learning
Students are diving into our EL curriculum to build reading, writing, and thinking skills. In ALL Block small groups, they’re practicing and strengthening those skills. Their excitement shows!
🚌 Celebrating Safety
This week, our students practiced bus evacuation safety! They did a great job listening, following directions, and learning how to stay safe in case of an emergency.
🙌 AVID Cheers in Action
Teachers are introducing AVID cheers this week. They are fun, quick ways to celebrate effort and keep learning energized. Ask your child to show you one!

We’re so proud of our Dragons showing respect, kindness, and responsibility all around campus. Keep up the great work!

Here are a few important updates:
- “Submit a Story” Button on CCS homepage:
  - Feel free to begin submitting stories using the new form linked to the district homepage
- 🚗 Car Tag Reminder
  For afternoon pickup, please keep your car tag visible in your window until your child is safely in your car. This helps our staff quickly identify families, keep the line moving, and ensure student safety.
- Rent the Bonlee Rock! Do you have a message you'd love for the school and community to see? For $25, you can rent the Bonlee Rock for 1 week (Sunday to Sunday). We provide the rock and you provide the paint and the painter! Your $25 can be paid on SchoolCashOnline and will go toward supporting our school. Here is the link:

- PTA Thrift Store: Support our school. Donate to the PTA Thrift Store; every item helps raise funds for our students!
